NHS Officer packets and Meeting on May 5

NHS applications for 2016-17 organization officers are available in B5.  Apps are due May 4.


There will be an NHS meeting on May 5 at 7:50 am in B5.  This is meeting for new members and continuing members.  Officers elections will be held.  Plans for next year and reflection on this year's projects will be discussed.

Hours Opps

• Bowling this Wednesday, April 13th after school. Meet in the OMS gym to take the bus. $6 to bowl or free to help out.
• Track needs 2-3 volunteers to work the gate on Saturday, April 16 from 9-12:30ish. See Mrs. Steve.
• Track needs volunteers to run the gate on Tuesday, April 19 from 3:30-7.  Multiple shifts are available.  See Mr. Stine to sign up.
• Work the Oly South Carnival, April 23, 3:30-6:30 pm. See Mr. Abrams
• Relay for Life on Friday, April 29 runs in the evening through Saturday morning--various shifts available--see Mrs. Schroeder.
• Success Club after school 3:30-5:30 Tuesday and Thursday
• Math Study Hall  during lunch/advisory--see Mrs. Bowers
• Lunch Buddies during lunch/advisory--see Mrs. Steve

Hours due April 15 and Induction Ceremony

The spring NHS hours are due April 15.  10 service hours are required each semester.  Turn in your Hours Logs to Mrs. Hapgood or Mrs. Steve.


The NHS induction and recognition ceremony will be on April 25 at 6 pm in the auditorium.   Seniors who have fulfilled all their responsibilities for the 2015-16 NHS school year will receive their golden honor cords to wear at graduation.

NHS 3 v 3 tourney is cancelled.

Due to spring sports conflicts, the NHS 3 vs 3 basketball tournament on Friday, April 1 is unfortunately cancelled.   Only 2 teams signed up to play.  We will try again next year during a less busy month! 

 The NHS students will still hold a bake sale during lunch and advisory on Friday to benefit Race for the Cure.
